Greetings, creative minds and 3D enthusiasts! We are thrilled to announce Contest #4 at Alter.game, where your creativity can transform a barren digital landscape into a thriving ecosystem. Ready to make your mark? Here’s everything you need to know to participate.

What’s the Contest About?

Imagine a digital world, akin to a barren planet, waiting to be filled with life. Your mission? To create a 3D model of a tree, but not just any tree – we’re looking for designs that are surreal, imaginative, and beyond the ordinary. Think of each tree as a seed you’re planting in our virtual Alter Shop, contributing to a flourishing digital ecosystem.

How to Participate?

  1. Get Started: Download the provided sample Blender or Maya file from our platform. This file contains important size reference to ensure your tree fits perfectly in our digital world. Click to download the Source file & add your Tree in it.
  2. Create Your Tree: Using the sample file as your canvas, let your imagination run wild to design a unique, surreal tree. Remember, we’re looking for creativity and innovation!
  3. Record Your Process: As you create your tree model, record at least one minute of your screen. This is not just for authenticity, but also to share your creative journey with our community. Click here to share the screen recording.
  4. Showcase Your Work: Once your tree is ready, share a rendered image of it in our Discord channel. This is your chance to dazzle the community with your creation. Click here to share the submission render image.
  5. Final Submission: Export your model in GLB format with a Tri count of less than 30,000, and list it in the Alter Shop. We’ll provide a tutorial to guide you through this process. Click here to list in Alter Shop.

Voting and Prizes

After all submissions are in, it’s time for the community to vote! Share your rendered image in the Discord channel by March 7th (extended from February 22), and let the community decide their favorite designs. The submitted models will then be judged by our internal jury to select the winners.

Terms and Conditions for the Alter.game Surreal Tree Modeling Contest

  1. Eligibility: The contest is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old & Residents of India at the time of submission. Employees of Alter.game and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
  2. Contest Period: The contest begins on January 22 and ends on March 7th (extended from February 22). Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
  3. How to Enter:
    • Join the Alter.game Discord server.
    • Download the provided sample Blender/Maya file.
    • Create a surreal tree model based on the provided guidelines.
    • Record at least one minute of the creation process.
    • Submit a rendered image of the model in the Discord channel.
    • Export the model in GLB format with less than 30k Tri count and list it in the Alter Shop.
  4. Submission Guidelines:
    • Each participant may submit only one entry.
    • The entry must be the original work of the participant and not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
    • Entries must not contain any content that is obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate.
  5. Judging and Voting:
    • Community voting will take place in the Discord channel to determine the top creative trees.
    • An internal jury will select the final winners from the top-voted models.
  6. Prizes:
    • First Prize: Curved Monitor.
    • Second Prize: PS5 Controller.
    • Third Prize: RGB Keyboard.
    • Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.
  7. Intellectual Property Rights:
    • By entering the contest, participants grant Alter.game a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, promote, or modify their submission for marketing and promotional purposes.
  8. Liability and Indemnity:
    • Alter.game is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest.
    • Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Alter.game from any claims, damages, expenses, costs, and liabilities including legal fees arising in relation to their entry or participation in the contest.
  9. General Conditions:
    • Alter.game reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the contest if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Alter.game’s control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest, as determined by Alter.game in its sole discretion.
    • Participation in the contest constitutes the participant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions.
